As the Iran War intensifies, oil, or rather the lack of it, has become a key talking point. The de-facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran has blocked 20 percent of the world’s oil supply (almost 20 million barrels per day), which has mainly affected countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Australia.
