A special meeting of the Food Policy and Security Committee was held at the Parliament Complex, under the co-chairmanship of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation Minister K. D. Lalkantha and Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe on Friday (6). The meeting focused on managing the potential impact on Sri Lanka’s supply of essential commodities and food security arising from the current conflict situation in the Middle East region.
