以色列總統赫爾佐格11月7日晚間宣佈，已經委任現反對黨領導人艾森科特去組建新一屆內閣，後者將有28天的時間去組建聯合政府。如果這一中間派政黨領袖成為新總理，將意味著右翼連續20年執政的終結。
