Iraq and Chevron sign initial deal to develop Lukoil-run West Qurna 2 oilfield

US energy major Chevron signed a framework agreement with Iraq's Basrah Oil Company to develop the West Qurna 2 oilfield in Basra, which was previously run by Russian company Lukoil until it was hampered by international sanctions.
