Chris is a born-and-bred Far North Queenslander who longs to one day witness the ultimate showdown — a battle to the death between a crocodile and an ill-tempered cassowary. He grew up in Cairns and worked for newspapers from Roma, Toowoomba and Sydney before returning to his hometown.
