Senator-judge Erwin Tulfo on Monday questioned the prosecution’s plan to drop key witnesses Colonel Raymund Lachica and Colonel Dennis Nolasco, stressing the need to determine if Vice President Sara Duterte was involved in the alleged misuse of confidential funds. Presiding Officer Francis Escudero clarified that the Senate impeachment court may still summon the witnesses before rendering a verdict.
