Nearly a century after the Nazis shut down Germany’s world-famous Bauhaus school of design, the art movement has once again become a cultural battleground. The far-right Alternative for Germany party has called the Bauhaus an “aberration of modernism.” Its attacks comes ahead of an election in Saxony-Anhalt, where the iconic Bauhaus school building is located.
