MANILA, Philippines — The ongoing Pasig-Marikina River Channel Improvement Project (PMRCIP) has helped prevent the river from overflowing and protect residents of Marikina and Pasig from severe flooding amid weeks of heavy rainfall, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
