A RECENT poll conducted by Momentum Research revealed that nearly three in four Filipinos support lowering the minimum age of criminal responsibility (MACR) from the current 15 years to 10 or 12 years. This follows a number of high-profile incidents of violence in schools in recent months, which has also prompted a push among some lawmakers to amend the current law.
