We’ve just returned from a short, but delightful family holiday to Vietnam. Two occurrences on the trip did cause wry smiles. After a couple of good, but not great, meals in Hoi An (a Google score of 4.9 based on 2500-plus reviews, hello?), we twigged that many Vietnamese restaurants and hotels are cleverly gaming the Google review system by incentivising customers.
