President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 21, 2026 inspects the soon-to-open passenger terminal building of the Port of Lucena in Quezon. The 2,962 square-meter-facility boasts of a 1,000-seating capacity. The port serves Southern Luzon’s gateway to Marinduque and neighboring islands which has direct routes to Masbate, Romblon, and Marinduque. The new facility now has an automated ticketing counter for faster transaction, modern bathroom, improved ventilation system, and solar panels, among others.
