THE lust for revenge grabbed the hearts of many. Institutions such as the Church and government itself became targets of destructive rhetoric. Surprisingly, those in the same institutions tolerated, if not encouraged, the vilification of these institutions created to maintain order and harmony in our society. The media, the supposed bearer of truth in a society, became the news themselves.
