Lauren Smith is a Wongutha woman and journalist with the ABC's state newsroom in Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. She's worked with the Indigenous Specialised Reporting team in Sydney as a national Indigenous affairs correspondent. Lauren has covered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities on Menang country while working at ABC Great Southern.
