Malacañang rejects claims that it is using the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte to divert public attention from the investigation into the flood control scandal. The claim was made by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said there is no basis for Cayetano’s allegation. She added that law enforcement agencies continue to pursue those responsible for the alleged irregularities.
