The US House of Representatives on Tuesday passed bipartisan legislation aimed at speeding up the construction of affordable housing, sending the measure to President Donald Trump for signing. The bill passed the Senate on Monday, 85-5, and cleared the House, 358-32. It seeks to address the U.S. shortage of affordable homes by speeding up housing projects and limiting the number of single-family homes large Wall Street investors can own.
