Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad ​Baqer Qalibaf arrived in Oman on Monday, to discuss joint efforts to consolidate Iranian arrangements for managing shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi welcomed Qalibaf and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Muscat upon their arrival. Qalibaf said on Monday that Tehran has agreed to have a communication line regarding ship passage in the strait of Hormuz to avoid conflict and incidents in the strategic waterway.
