1. Friendly Fire showed the sort of resolve when challenged at the end of 1200m at Randwick that says 1400m at Rosehill won’t be an issue. He found the front a long way out there and looked a sitting duck, but fought off the eventual runner-up. Small field here, he looks progressive and the one to beat.
