WeChat opens up to smartphone AI assistants after ByteDance phone backlash

Selected users of Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo devices can now use natural language commands through each brand's built-in voice assistant to send messages and make voice or video calls in WeChat.
