Marine Rescue NSW received a call on Monday that a dog had been swept off rocks into the water near Observation Point in Batemans Bay on the state’s south coast. On arrival, a team found the dog had swum about 800 metres to a nearby island. After deploying a boat and a jetski, a volunteer with the group was able to coax the canine on to the back of the smaller craft and bring him to shore
