The project, created by Mexican design collective Mexclart, features T-shirts inspired by “papel picado,” the delicate cut-paper decorations commonly seen during Mexican celebrations and holidays. Brightly colored shirts carry intricate patterns resembling the perforated banners that hang above streets, markets and family altars during festivities such as Day of the Dead.
