In Khartoum state, hastily buried bodies litter the city - buried in homes, in sports fields or by the road. Dr. Hisham Zienalabdien, director general of the forensic medicine department for Khartoum state, is one of only two forensic doctors in the state. He said during the conflict the Rapid Support Forces militia forbade people from burying bodies in cemeteries.
