The Supreme Court has ordered the University Grants Commission to prevent a professor who was attached to the Peradeniya University from obtaining any academic appointment, paid or honorary, in universities and institutions under its control, after finding serious concerns arising from allegations of sexual harassment and emotional abuse of a female junior academic.
