Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) to provide a statement regarding an alleged US$ 2 million deal linked to the procurement of aircraft for SriLankan Airlines in 2013. Rajapaksa had been summoned by the Commission in connection with investigations into the controversial Airbus deal involving the national carrier.
