MF Muhammad of Zahira College has emerged as Sri Lanka’s highest-ranked swimmer in FINA points after a stunning all-round performance at the three-day Selection Trial for the Asian Age Group Championship and Commonwealth Games, held at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex, where the 18-year-old not only shattered two national records but also produced the country’s best current international-standard performance with 731 FINA points in the 100m butterfly.
