4,742 cases filed regarding cyber crimes against women in 2025 – Minister

Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananda Wijepala told Parliament that 4,742 cases were filed in 2025 regarding cyber crimes against women and that special cyber crime prevention units have been established in all provinces, including the Northern and Eastern provinces, to investigate such cases.
