The past two and a half years have been challenging for the aviation industry in Israel. During the Swords of Iron War, virtually all international airlines—including the large American carriers—stopped flying to Israel. Many carriers were concerned that ballistic missiles hurtling through the air could strike an airliner or damage Ben Gurion Airport.
