LAST February, Norway’s national broadcasting corporation, NRK, reported that plastic marine litter on Norwegian beaches had declined significantly in recent years. Some beaches have seen as much as a 50 percent reduction in plastic waste since 2020. A similar trend has been observed across the European Union, NRK reported.
