United States (US) Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has revealed that the Iran War has so far cost the US taxpayers a staggering US$ 25 billion, on top of the US annual defence budget of US$ 900 billion. This is expected to balloon to US$ 1.5 trillion next year, which is more than double the combined defence expenditure of the next two countries on the list – China and Russia, which itself is engaged in a war.
