May Day celebrations this year will be muted with some political parties opting out citing ‘Vesak’ Poya Day. Still, the ruling National Peoples’ Power (NPP) and the main opposition party, the Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) will hold rallies. This is while the Government probes a US$ 2.5 million scam.
