The seven-day Buddhist Peace Walk ‘‘Ehi Passiko’‘ to promote peace, compassion, and nonviolence ended in Colombo yesterday. A special State ceremony was held at the Independence Square, with the participation of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to mark the occasion. Here, the President officially handing over a sapling of the Sacred Sri Maha Bodhi to Venerable Pannakara Thera who led the delegation of Buddhist Monks who participated in the walk.
