Any life is precious. A person who drowns can die within minutes. An adult may lose consciousness in about two minutes underwater, while a small child can die within 30 seconds to two minutes. This is basic knowledge and not rocket science. Yet it has become a trend that many Sri Lankans lack even this level of awareness.
