We are getting obesity fundamentally wrong. Around 70 per cent of people living with obesity recognise they have a chronic disease. Yet nearly two-thirds of them believe they could overcome the disease through willpower alone. This is a big contradiction. And it is not just a misunderstanding - unfortunately, it is one of the most significant barriers to them obtaining effective medical care.
