WILDLY optimistic reports this week have hailed the signing of an agreement between the United States and Philippine governments for the development of a large (4,000 acres, according to the press release from the US Embassy in Manila) industrial estate, dubbed an “economic security zone,” to rapidly advance “AI (artificial intelligence)-native investment acceleration” under America’s “Pax Silica” initiative.
