A rescued wild elephant which had fallen into the Z.D. Canal from the Aluthwewa area in Pimburettewa, attacked a cab belonging to wildlife officers and four motorcycles causing an estimated damage of Rs. 1 million before fleeing, officials at the Pimburettewa Wildlife Office said.
