The Sri Lanka Life Saving Association (SLLSA) paid attention towards number of sudden deaths that were reported from various parts of the country following drowning. They stressed that persons using boats to go on pleasure trips and those who are engaged in fishing activities must wear safety jackets to escape drowning in emergencies.
