The recent trade agreement between India and the European Union (EU) is one of the most significant economic partnerships formed due to the evolution of the global trading system. Although the agreement reinforces economic relations between two of the largest economy blocs in the world, it further goes beyond bilateral trade and complements the restructuring of supply chains, investments, and competitiveness in South Asia, including South Asia’s neighbour, Sri Lanka.
