Assets worth over Rs.3089 million belonging to 88 individuals involved in organized crime, drug trafficking, and money laundering have been frozen so far, Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Deputy Minister Sunil Watagala stated in Parliament yesterday. He made this statement while participating in the debate on the Judicature (Amendment) Bill -Second Reading and the Poisons, Opium and Dangerous Drugs (Amendment) Bill – Second Reading.
