Constitutional reformers would be freer to examine religious provisions without accusations of bias. When the Sangha demonstrates integrity and independence from partisan politics, discussions about constitutional reform become less emotionally charged and more rational. The protection of Buddhism will then be seen not as a political slogan, but as a shared national value.
