Low floor buses are a long standing need for Sri Lanka. During the past several decades Sri Lankan differently able people, elderly, sick and pregnant mothers travelled in ordinary passenger buses with severe difficulties because they could not get on to those buses and they climbed to the buses with the assistance of other passengers.
