Health Deputy Minister Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni stated that every hospital should conduct at least one drug review meeting per month to ensure a continuous and efficient supply of medicines. He emphasised that such meetings would enable the chief pharmacist to present a comprehensive report on available drug stocks and coordinate with the hospital director and administrative authorities to identify potential shortages in advance and take timely remedial action, including local procurements where necessary.
