In a landmark moment for Sri Lanka’s public transport system, the Pettah Central Bus Terminal, widely known as the Central Bus Stand (CBS), has been reopened following an extensive and long-overdue modernisation project, bringing an end to nearly six decades of infrastructural decline and commuter hardship.
