The resounding victory of Sanae Takaichi in the recent Japanese snap election has reaffirmed the confidence placed in her by Japanese voters. In fact, Sanae brought the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) its biggest electoral victory in its 71-year history, fueling her ambitions to pursue a political agenda which she herself says could “split public opinion”.
