Digital Economy Deputy Minister Eranga Weeraratne told Parliament yesterday that the Government has planned to install 150 new telecom towers in remote areas this year under the ‘Gamata Sannivedanaya’ (Communication to the Village) programme as a key component of the 2026 Budget.
