Sri Lanka’s elephant conservationist community has not always been on the same page with the people involved in the human-elephant conflict. This writer has previously focussed on this tendency of our — what’s the word, ‘kultur’? — sections of the animal-lover community in this island. Not so flattering things have been said about them by self, and others before.
