POLITICAL opportunism, like corruption, has crept into the political culture of this country. We are all witnesses to the vexing and shameless somersaulting of alliances and loyalties by politicians who do it to advance their own personal interests. They jump from one political party to another with nary a sense of shame, depending on where the pendulum of power swings.
