The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) which comes under the Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Ministry has set a target of sending 310,000 Sri Lankan workers for foreign employment in this year, the bureau said. According to projections the largest group of around 77,500 people are to be sent for jobs in Kuwait, while around 63,500 will be sent to the United Arab Emirates, 44,000 to Qatar, 31,000 to Saudi Arabia and 17 other countries.
