Sri Lanka’s promising paddler Taavi Samaraweera continued his form in world table tennis by winning his first international gold medal of 2026 at the World Youth Contender Tournament in Bahrain’s Isa Bin Rashid complex. The tournament was held from January 14-17, featuring 129 players from 19 countries and Taavi was the only Sri Lankan player in this tournament.
