Ambassador Shobini Gunasekera, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka’s envoy to the Russian Federation, presented her Letters of Credence to President Vladimir Putin on 15th January 2026 at the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. The ceremony was conducted in accordance with established diplomatic protocol, with President Putin accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Policy Advisor Yury Ushakov.
