The Police have stated that there is a rising trend of online and phone-based scams targeting the public across the country. Police revealed that a growing number of complaints have been received by various Police stations regarding misleading phone calls and social media posts and messages offering fake job opportunities, claiming prize winnings, and issuing false legal threats.
