The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has advised the immediate evacuation of residents from 18 houses after identifying several areas along the slopes of Ambuluwawa Mountain as high-risk zones for landslides. NBRO has further recommended that these areas be declared landslide-sensitive zones, free from construction and development activities, and preserved to minimize future disaster risks.
